Templates

Creating a Template is the first step to creating a schedule. Click the Use Templates button.

Build the schedule for your location day by day thinking about:

  • Operating Hours for each day of the week
  • Existing Schedule and Ideal Schedule
  • How many of each type of employee you have on the schedule each day of the week
  • Shifts and Breaks

Manager Tip: Are your employees expected to be at work 15 minutes prior before the official start? Build into the schedule for arrival time.

IMPORTANT! Add your locations with departments, jobs, and team member availability before building your first schedule.

Manager Tip: The first time you schedule will be the most time -consuming. After you have completed your first schedule, it gets easier with our templates and cloning features.

Creating and Using Templates

Create your first shifts by entering the number of associates you need, the hours, and the department day by day.

On the Planner, make sure you are on the month  and location that you want to create the schedule.

Begin by adding your first day to the Template:

Drag and drop to the next day if your scheduled hours remain the same or make time or staffing alterations to each shift as needed. Saturdays busier? Click How Many to add an extra team member.

To use a shift in the future, you must go to the Save Template As and enter a name and click Save As.

Once the Template is saved you will be able to select in the Open Existing Templates and select for future use.

We suggest naming the template using Month/Year/Location for future reference.

Once you have named and save the template, click Generate shifts.

It will appear on your schedule and remain in Draft form,  unavailable to your team until you Publish. You can make edits in draft form until the schedule is complete. When you click publish, assigned team members will be notified and able to access shifts on My Schedule.
